Insurance & Communication
Most insurance carriers operate 24/7, allowing you to file a claim anytime, even after hours or on weekends. Contact your local Re-Lux Collision center to schedule an appointment, as appointments are required.
When you drop off your vehicle, we’ll guide you through the process of removing all personal belongings from the car. Our paperwork includes a repair authorization and limited power of attorney. We’ll also review your insurance terms, including deductible details. If you need a rental vehicle, we work closely with Enterprise to streamline the process.
We highly recommend opting for text message updates to keep you informed throughout the repair process. This allows us to notify you of each repair stage and reach out promptly with any questions.
Vehicle Disassembly & Your Repair Plan
At Re-Lux Collision, we use a structured, part-by-part approach to assess vehicle damage, including an electrical scan to identify any underlying issues. After carefully disassembling your vehicle for a complete inspection, we develop a detailed blueprint outlining each step of the repair process, which typically takes between 1–3 hours.
Once the disassembly and blueprint are complete, we submit the repair plan to your insurance company to expedite approval. Your insurance company will review and approve the plan, including any additional estimates if needed. Once everything is in place, we order the necessary parts and begin repairs.
The Repair Process
In most cases, we start repairs immediately—even before the new parts arrive. This process involves computerized measurements for structural damage and mechanical repairs. The repair timeline varies based on the extent of the damage, but we’ll keep you informed at every stage. Using the latest technology and equipment, we aim to deliver the highest quality repairs. We also employ Mirka dust-free sanding systems, ensuring safe and efficient repairs while prioritizing the health of our technicians.
The Repair Process
After repairs are complete, your vehicle will visit our full-service paint shop, where we use high-quality, environmentally friendly BASF automotive paints approved by manufacturers. To protect the fresh paint and enhance your vehicle’s shine, our I-CAR, BASF, and ASE-certified technicians apply durable finishes and glosses for a lasting, beautiful result.
Vehicle Reassembly
At Re-Lux Collision, we take meticulous care in reassembling your vehicle, using advanced AirPro Diagnostics systems. With AirPro, we have access to OEM software with the latest information, allowing us to perform repairs in-house for a quicker turnaround than many other shops. At this stage, you’ll receive a text update with our progress and an estimated completion timeframe. Once reassembly is complete, we wash, clean, and vacuum your vehicle to ensure it’s returned to you in pristine condition.
Quality Control Check
Our quality control department conducts an in-depth, part-by-part inspection to ensure each component meets our high standards before returning your vehicle. This process includes carefully examining all repaired and replaced parts, verifying structural integrity, and running diagnostics to confirm all systems are functioning as expected. Our team inspects everything from alignment to paint finish, making sure no detail is overlooked. This rigorous quality check is designed to ensure your vehicle’s safety, performance, and appearance, giving you complete confidence when you drive away from Re-Lux Collision.
Vehicle Pickup, Payment & Repair Review
Once your vehicle is ready, we’ll notify you by text message and follow up with a phone call to confirm its completion. We’ll also confirm payment arrangements to make the pickup process seamless. When you arrive, one of our team members will meet you carside to review the repairs in detail, ensuring you’re fully satisfied with the work completed. If you’re using an Enterprise rental car, we’ll manage the return on your behalf, making the final steps as convenient and stress-free as possible.
